About Your Coach Heath Herrera
Thirty Years in the Making
What began as a dream in a small West Texas town (Spur, Texas, the home of former Spurs owner Red McCombs) has become a purposeful, a career with more than 20 years on the floor dedicated to human movement, physiological performance, and deep human connection.
My coaching path was not linear. It did not follow a traditional organizational ladder or include a series of flashy, corporate fitness titles. Instead, it was built quietly through thousands of hours spent in the trenches coaching individuals from all walks of life, bridging the crucial gap between clinical rehabilitation and high-level performance.
Over the years, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Angelo State University (2002) and a Master of Education in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas State University (2004). I became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and continued to invest in professional development through mentorships, certifications, conferences, and ongoing study.
My early career in rehabilitation provided a strong foundation in movement restoration and return-to-performance principles. From there, I built and operated my own coaching business, where I have spent more than two decades helping clients improve movement quality, develop strength and conditioning, recover from injury, and prepare for the physical demands of life and sport.
Because I have worked primarily as an independent business owner, much of this journey unfolded quietly. There was no formal title progression to mark my growth. No institution was there to tell me when I had reached the next level. Instead, progress was measured in the trust of my clients, the relationships I built, and the results they achieved.
Why I Train You Like an Athlete
Many people associate successful training with complexity, constant variety, or completely exhausting workouts. My experience has taught me something different. Simplicity does not mean easy.
My coaching framework applies the exact same scientific rigor, load management, and nervous system profiling to an "Everyday Athlete" as I would to a professional basketball player in the NBA.
- We build the engine first: Utilizing advanced Morpheus Heart Rate & HRV Tracking to establish an unbreakable cardiovascular foundation.
- We don't babysit: We don't stand over you with a clipboard counting to ten. We provide the custom programming, teach you the mechanics, and guide the open floor—building your absolute physical autonomy.
- We fix the leaks: Every program is anchored in clinical injury prevention and movement restoration principles.
The true value of coaching lies in understanding the unique person standing in front of me, recognizing exactly what their nervous system needs in that moment, and applying the precise dose of challenge to help them grow stronger, safer, and entirely resilient.
And after more than two decades of coaching, I still feel like I am just getting started.
